These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Develop Credit website and services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and an authorized owner, officer, or representative of the business you register to use the Services.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

  • Paid plans (Track, Build, Grow, or successor plan names) begin with a 7-day free trial period; you will not be charged until the trial ends unless stated otherwise at signup.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for the remainder of a billing period unless required by law.
  • We may change subscription pricing on a going-forward basis with advance notice.

4. Credit Builder Loan Accounts

Where offered, credit builder loan accounts are originated and held through our banking partner and are subject to a separate loan agreement, truth-in-lending disclosures, and underwriting approval. The pricing, tiers, and terms described on this website are illustrative and subject to change; the terms in your executed loan agreement control. A one-time account setup fee applies and is disclosed before you open an account. We do not guarantee loan approval, a specific credit score outcome, or that any tradeline will be furnished to a particular bureau on a particular timeline.

5. Business Credit Tracking

Business credit tracking features rely on data obtained from third-party credit reporting agencies and our credit monitoring service provider. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the accuracy of third-party credit data. Score tracking is provided for informational purposes and is not a guarantee of your actual creditworthiness or eligibility for financing.

6. Resources Directory

Our Resources directory lists third-party vendors and service providers. We may receive referral or affiliate compensation when you engage a listed vendor. Listing a vendor is not an endorsement or guarantee of that vendor's products, pricing, or approval decisions. Your relationship with any listed vendor is governed by that vendor's own terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information about yourself or your business.
  • Use the Services to commit fraud or violate any law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Services.
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all content, branding, and software, are owned by Develop Credit or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without our permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CREDIT SCORE, TRADELINE, OR FINANCING OUTCOME WILL RESULT FROM USE OF THE SERVICES.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVELOP CREDIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services for violation of these Terms or for any other reason, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Develop Credit is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Governing law, venue, and any arbitration provision to be finalized with counsel.]

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
