Who This Is For
You Registered Recently, And The Three-Month Rule Keeps Turning You Away.
The seasoning requirement exists because a lender underwriting even a fully secured product wants some evidence the entity is real. It has the side effect that the moment you most want to start building a file — the week you register — is the moment you are least able to.
We do not require seasoning. If the entity exists, has an EIN and a real address, it can be reported.
The rule that excludes you elsewhere
Credit Strong requires a business registered with the Secretary of State for at least three months.
Stated from their published eligibility criteria. It is a reasonable rule for a lending product; we are not one, which is why we do not carry it.
What To Know Before You Start
- Register the entity and get the EIN first. Both are free or near-free and everything else depends on them.
- Starting earlier matters more than starting bigger. Payment history accumulates over time, and the length of it is not something money can shorten later.
- Allow up to two months from your first submission before anything appears on a report. That is inherent to how bureau reporting works.
- If your entity is not registered yet, we cannot help and neither can anyone else. That is the one prerequisite with no way around it.
