Why Develop Credit
- Cheaper, meaningfully. CreditBuilder Plus is $149/mo and Premium is $199/mo (dnb.com, published pricing, checked September 2026) — three to four times our $49 entry tier for a new business with nothing to submit yet.
- We do not require existing trade relationships to report from. A business with no vendors extending it credit yet has nothing to submit to a self-reporting tool; we open an account and report on that instead.
- One furnished tradeline at a limit you choose, rather than a submission subject to D&B's own review and acceptance — their own terms note submitted data is "subject to review, verification, and possible acceptance," with no guarantee.
- No credit-check language on either side. Neither service requires one for these plans, as published.

The Bottom Line
D&B CreditBuilder is the closest thing to reporting directly to the source — because D&B is the source. What it asks you to submit is your own trade data for review, which works well if you already have vendor relationships worth attaching and can clear their verification. A new business without that history has nothing to submit. We solve a narrower problem more cheaply: we open an account and report the payment on it, no existing relationships required, at a third to a quarter of D&B's own CreditBuilder price.
